Project CARS coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam and Wii U

Award-winning developer Slightly Mad Studios, known most recently for its work on Electronic Arts’ Need For Speed franchise, have announced that "Project Cars", a WMD-powered AAA racing video game, will be coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam OS and the Wii U in 2014. Three further platforms to be announced.

Both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles will see Project CARS racing onto them during 2014 as gaming enters the next generation with new benchmarks of graphical fidelity and technical power becoming possible and Project CARS aiming to set a new standard for virtual racing for motorsports and car fans around the world.


Project CARS gives players the freedom to choose their own destiny - whether that's starting as a karting prodigy and going on to become an Formula champion within 3 years, to return year after year and defend your GT title against all oncomers, or to prove your dominance across six other distinct and popular motorsports.

Featuring a dynamic time of day and weather system, full pit stops & strategies, fully-loaded online play, a comprehensive tuning system, over 100 tracks, bleeding-edge physics, and a world-class graphics engine supporting 4K gaming and Oculus Rift, Project CARS is the truly next-generation race experience.

Project CARS will also be coming to Valve's Steam OS, extending an existing partnership with Steam that has already allowed tens of thousands of WMD members the ability to download and play builds of the game during its development and allow specific multiplayer and social features that are only possible using this unique platform.

Project CARS will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam OS, PC, and Wii U starting late 2014.
